EXPERIENCE ALZHEIMER’S FOR YOURSELF

As someone in early stage Alzheimers, I’m always trying to explain how I feel. Other family members can be confused by some of my  behavior which is perfectly normal to me. They want to know so they can be helpful, yet Alzheimer’s is near impossible to explain sometimes.

Sometimes I just can’t find the words. I can’t find the words to describe the noise in my ears, the fear of things that aren’t there, nor the nightmares that visit me every night. Some things that occur, or will occur, are so disheartening that I don’t want loved ones to know.

If you’ve ever wondered about Alzheimer’s, you need only to watch this video for a small glimpse of life for a loved one or friend with Alzheimer’s.

Just what is a loved one with dementia going through? A 12-minute virtual Alzheimer’s tour reveals more than you ever imagined. This is a YouTube copy of an original ABC video that was made because users on our site were having problems viewing streaming video embedded directly from ABC. )
