Rick Phelp’s Video Series – Early On-set Alzheimer’s

Page 3- An ongoing Video Series created by Rick Phelps. More Videos found at : Rick Phelp’s Videos on You Tube

Rick is an EOAD (Early-Onset Alzheimer Disease) patient but instead of fading away with this disease, Rick has done something very different. Rick has decided to make videos and record the affects of this disease on him and, perhaps, bring awareness and education about Alzheimer’s and EOAD to other people.

Rick is not a physician nor advocate for any particular treatment for others. He is a person with Early On-Set Alzheimer’s who is documenting his own progress in the hopes of enlightening others about this disease and it’s symptoms.

Rick has started two Facebook groups, one for Alzheimer’s patients and caregivers called ” Memory people” and another for teenagers who have a family member or loved one with Alzheimer’s called “Memory people for teens.” A website for Alzheimer’s patients and Caregivers, Living with Alzheimer’s. Rick believes that Alzheimer’s is not only a patients disease but a caregivers disease.

Thanks Rick for raising the voice for Early-Onset Dementia. My husband was diagnosed 5 years ago (age 57) with Frontotemporal Dementia. I am learning a deeper meaning of unconditional love, patience and surrendering or accepting what is, and my life is richer than before. Not an easy journey for either parties–but I wouldn’t change it because of the person I’m becoming.

Thank you for your courage (and your wife’s) for speaking up.

    Warmly
    Holly
