Did you know there are many new drugs created for Alzheimer’s disease simply waiting for testing before they become available?
This testing is called Clinical Trials. And one of the biggest roadblocks to a cure is a lack of patients to test these new drugs.
The Alzheimer’s Association states: “Clinical trials are the engine that powers medical progress. Through clinical trials, researchers test new ways to detect, treat and prevent Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Without clinical trials, there can be no new treatments or cures.”
The non profit Alzheimer’s Association is helping in this matter by pairing patients with clinical trials based on personal profiles they create at the Alzheimer’s website or by phone.
Do you know someone who would be willing to help by taking part in a clinical trial? If you know someone who is interested, please encourage them to sign up. Encouraging someone you know to sign up could help end Alzheimer’s sooner!
