Joanne Woodward Battles Alzheimers

Very sad news when we learn that someone we’ve all known for a very long time, Joanne Woodward (wife of Paul Newman) is battling Alzheimer’s.

Joanne is a popular American actress and producer of television and theatre. She is perhaps best known for her Academy Award-winning role in The Three Faces of Eve (1957)

The Video below depicts the two of them together before Paul’s death from lung cancer.

Joanne Woodward was married to Paul Newman for 50 years before he passed away at age 83 in September 2008. They had three daughters together – Nell, 53, Lissy, 51, and Clea, 47

A collage of their times together! A sweet Couple indeed!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joanne as she struggles with a disease that is so familiar to many of us.

That is so true. Often dementia symptoms grow much worse when the underlying issue is a Urinary Tract Infection. If a person with dementia has a severe personality shift, they should always receive a medical evaluation as they don’t always understand that it could be a medical issue. ~Sandy
