“Beating Heart”
by Norman McNamara
Beating heart, don’t be still
Just because, I am ill,
Tired eyes, weary legs,
…Find a cure, my heart begs,
Very tired of this venture,
In this fight with Dementia,
So much pain, so much sorrow,
Praying for a new tomorrow,
Until that day, a cure is found,
Let our hopes and dreams abound
So beating heart, don’t be still,
Just because I am ill
