Since I get many questions and requests about Rick Phelps’ Daily Videos, as well as joining the Facebook Group “Memory People™“– I thought I’d do an update on Rick Phelps and a few of his activities to raise the awareness of Alzheimer’s, and caregiver funding.
Most of you probably recognize Rick from his daily Youtube videos about his fight with EOAD, (Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease) or his website at Living With Alzheimer’s , or the Facebook group he organized (Memory People™) as a way to bring those together who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and those who care for them, or simply as the man who will not be stopped when it comes to raising the awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease.
If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or is a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s and you have a Facebook account, you might want to join the support group “Memory People™”. Since Memory People™ is a closed group to protect private discussions about personal issues, you can visit the fan page of Memory People™ and request membership to the regular “closed” group. Visit “Memory People Fan Page” at Facebook for more information.
This Support Group was organized less than 6 months ago and already has 600+ members. A comfortable place to share your feelings if you’re diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or to learn tips and hints about coping with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or any form of memory loss if you’re a loved one or caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s.
As if he isn’t busy enough, Rick is heading to Washington, D.C. next week to speak before our Representatives, more of his constant struggle to bring awareness to the disease of Alzheimer’s and the financial burden it will bring to this country in the future.
Rick also hopes to enlighten our leaders about the need for Caregiver Funding for all those who dedicate their time and energy caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
Rick has made an impressive effort already but he isn’t stopping there. Recently, we learned that he has a new book in the works about his own struggles with Alzheimer’s. No Title yet, but he’s hoping for a release date early next year. Rick’s energy and drive is boundless when it comes to alerting the nation about Alzheimer’s disease and the future of its funding and research.
This website is not a sponsor nor Administrator of Memory People™ Nor do we have any relation with Rick Phelps. We do, however, have a membership in Memory People™ and hope to inform about the many benefits and warm atmosphere of that Support Group.
